The Beasts in Sneaks are a series of characters that I've created that are featured on apparel and art prints. Their individual designs are heavily influenced by the Air Jordan sneakers they wear.
I've always found the design of the various Air Jordan shoes to be intriguing; not just the aesthetics, but the stories behind the shoes. Since 1986, the designers pulled elements from Michael Jordan's style of play, personality & interests and meshed them with the latest technological advancements in athletic footwear and in turn, created a cultural phenomenon.
Incorporating the design of the shoes into the look of over 30 different characters has been a challenging, but fun undertaking.
